Joyce Kelley
Joyce Kelley is a person who loves GOD, HIS people, and life in HIS presence. Her primary goal is to have an intimate relationship with her Lord and Savior, JESUS CHRIST, every single day. Every night, she thanks GOD for allowing her to live another day and, if it is HIS will, that HE would continue to grant her the gift of, yet, another tomorrow. She wants GOD to instruct her in the way that she should go and to guide her with HIS eye every single day of her life.
When asked how her journey with CLWC began, Joyce states that her sisters, Lynn and Sandra, persuaded her to attend a CLWC Saturday Bible Study sometime during the 1980s. When asked where this journey led her to up to this particular point, she iterates that her Pastors asked her to start a Singles’ Ministry at their church in 2006. Apostle Carolyn Vessel was the speaker at the first luncheon for the Singles’ Ministry. The Ministry led to seven marriages and lasted until the 2020 Pandemic, when the group stopped meeting. Her CLWC journey further took her on a Missionary trip to the “In Heaven’s Eyes Center in Nyahururu, Kenya East Africa, an experience forever etched in my memory. On that trip, I went shopping for dress shoes, mosquito nets and other essentials needed at the time.”
Joyce’s response to why she has chosen this particular journey was: “I believe these have been GOD appointed assignments with my name on them. I am always amazed at how the Lord directed my path with assignments I hadn’t asked for nor actively sought. However, they worked out wonderfully because HE went before me and made the crooked places straight! I don’t actually remember when I became a monthly partner but I believe it was after going on the missionary journey. I believe in this Ministry and plan to continue to support it as long as I can.”
We asked Joyce if there was anything else she wanted us to know. She responded, after retiring early from the Chicago Public Schools as an Administrator, GOD directed her into a second career as an Independent Securities & Exchange Commission Regulated Investment Advisor Representative. Now she is a business owner with her own book of business. She states, “I have learned that it takes a lot of hours of hard work to become an Entrepreneur and run a business. But knowing JESUS as my Way Maker, allows me to know that I have a purpose to help families across America. More than that, it is my particular duty, to especially help people in our neighborhoods understand how money works and how to hold on to more of it.”
