Campmeeting Steward/Vickey Vessel Clark/CLWC Board Member
I am thankful for the opportunity to be considered for the CLWC feature article. I am truly honored.
I want to begin with the people God has placed in my life. I am the daughter of Nellie Vessel and the second oldest of four children: Apostle Carolyn Vessel, Exhorter Howard Vessel, and Prophetess Cynthia Vessel. I am also the mother of three adult sons—Corrion, Pierre, and Shaquille. I am happily married to Bobby G. Clark, and God has blessed us with 21 beautiful years of love.
For the past 25 years, I have been a member of Way of Life Church International, where I serve as the CFO, a Steward, and one of the Hospitality Directors. I also support other ministries whenever I am called upon. I have been a CLWC member for more than 10 years, assisting with finances, serving as a Campmeeting Steward, supporting Hospitality, and helping wherever the ministry has need.
My journey with God began many years ago when I accepted Him into my life—one of the best decisions I have ever made. But to be honest, my commitment in the beginning was not a full commitment. I would seek God when I needed something, receive what I asked for, and then return to living life my own way instead of living as the woman of God I was called to be.
As God began to change me and show me a different “Way of Life,” He shifted things in my heart. My commitment deepened. I learned to put all my faith and trust in Him. One of my biggest struggles was financial. When I became a faithful member of Way of Life Church, our intercessor, Tasha Love, would call and ask what I needed prayer for. My answer was always the same: “To pay my tithes.” And prayer works. God blessed me with stability—I have been on my job for 25 years—and He made me a faithful giver, which was one of my heart’s desires.
Another desire was to stay committed to God, to walk by faith and not by sight, and to trust that I would never walk alone. God has kept that promise.
Being a CLWC member has been an honor. To do ministry with my sister, pastor, and friend, Apostle Vessel, has been a blessing. She has always been there for me—even when I wasn’t doing right. CLWC has enriched my life. Being a Co‑Labourer is an honor, and I am grateful that God placed me in this ministry. I love doing the work God has called me to do. Even when the task seems small, doing it for Him makes it big.
I love and appreciate all of the Co‑Labourers. Thank you for your love and support. I believe I was one of the last members to join, but you all welcomed me with open arms. We have all faced challenges, but when you put God first and allow Him to lead and guide you, those challenges become easier to walk through.
I have come this far by faith—leaning on the Lord and trusting in Him. My favorite scripture is Isaiah 41:10, God’s promise to us. Every day, I thank God for His love, grace, and mercy that He continues to show me.
Thank you again for this honor
Love Vickey Vessel-Clark
